My family came to New York during the war. When I was seventeen my parents died and left me a sizable inheritance. I gave it all away to charity and chose to embark on a journey covering the trail of Alexander the Great. When I came back to New York I decided to make the world, even just my corner of it, a better place. Then I retired at the age of 36 and became no different from your average businessman, aside from pursuing fields arguably considered a waste of time in the face of voracious fossil fuel consumption.
