I'm less interested in coordinates and more interested in experiences.

Tell me yours and how you've weathered this place Dr. Suresh calls hell.

What is your old home, Kay?

New York. My first home was a small town in a very different place, but that was a long time ago.

I'm from New York as well.

Really? Well, it might not be the 'same' New York, I guess. I haven't heard of you, but I mostly keep to myself.

I arrived not too long ago, and where I'm from it's 1985.

Ah. It was...2008 I believe, when I left. I've been here a few months.

What's New York like in 2008?

From: [identity profile] gouge-em-out.livejournal.com
It's...not all that different than 1985. Some bigger TVs and more tall buildings.

No flying cars or anything, though that was a little before the 80's when everyone thought the 2000's would be all futuristic I guess.

Oh, yes, I think those have been invented though I didn't think they caught on well.

I'm not the best person to ask, though. I'm blind most of the time so I don't get a very good look at things that often.

Your blind? From birth? Pardon my curiosity.

No, not from birth. And not all the time. Just until my eyes grow back.

No, cursed mirror shards.

City curses, or something else?

Something else. Something bad.

Honestly I'd prefer they not grow back at all, but I can't tell cursed objects what to do.

Yes. With the things I see, it's better not to see anything at all.

What do you see beyond tangible things?

From: [identity profile] gouge-em-out.livejournal.com
All the evil deeds of anyone I look at.

From: [identity profile] gouge-em-out.livejournal.com
Yeah, which is why I prefer to have my eyes out unless I'm needed to investigate something.

That's understandable, if a little messy.
